Membership

  • What are the requirements to join?
    • In order to become a voting member of the Pacific Northwest Child Life Association you must have completed your internship, and be eligible to sit for the national certification exam. As of winter 2015, students currently in an internship program can become non-voting members of the association. If you currently live in the Northwest you are welcome to join our association and attend our local conferences.


  • How do I become a member?
    • To become a member you must fill out the form below and pay an annual membership fee. These dues are used to help pay for guest speakers, maintain association costs, and enable us to provide community events.


  • How do I maintain membership?
    • To maintain an active membership with the association you are required to pay the annual dues. The association begins collecting dues February 1st of each year. Current memberships will expire on March 1st of each year unless renewed before this date. If your membership expires your email will be removed from the associations email distribution list and you will no longer receive up to date membership information. After March 31st, the fee for dues will increase.
    • Each year on February 1st, a renewal link/form will be posted for members to complete. Reminder emails are sent out by our treasurer prior to memberships expiring. As long as you keep up to date with your dues, your membership remains active. You can pay on our website.


  • What is a student membership?
    • The student Membership is for students and current child life practicum students and interns within the region.


  • How do I join the PNWCLA or pay my annual dues?
    • Please fill out the form here to become a member. After you click ‘submit’ you will be taken to PayPal to complete your payment. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the webmaster. After your payment is complete you will receive an email from PayPal. Keep this for your records so you know when you paid. Your membership will now be valid until March 31st and you are free to attend any association conferences within that period. After March 31st, the membership fee will increase.
